How to choose and adapt AI ad video templates

The useful part of an ad template is its structure: how it earns attention, introduces a product and asks viewers to act. In VideoAnt, choose a creative direction and adapt it to your audience, use case and benefit. A reference preview is not a promise of an identical generated result.

Understand templates, previews and generated clips

The creative library presents directions such as product showcases, creator-style stories, demonstrations and fashion. Its images and videos are visual references, not videos already generated for your product.

Choosing a template opens the product-brief and ad-planning workflow. Openings and storyboards help you compare directions. Actual generation is a separate step with a credit quote. The current output is a single-shot, five-second, 480p concept clip.

1. Filter by the job your ad needs to do

Decide what viewers should understand: what the product looks like, how it works or when they would use it. Then filter by industry, creative type or scenario and save useful candidates.

  • To explain a practical action, consider a demonstration structure.
  • To establish appearance and mood, explore a product showcase direction.
  • To tell a usage story, study a creator-style structure without inventing testimonials or personal experience.

2. Supply your own product details

Enter the product name, audience, key benefit and use case. If you need a starting brief, extract a public product page and verify the details manually.

For a commuter water bottle, you might focus on carrying it on the train instead of combining insulation, sustainability and appearance into one message. Only include leak resistance, insulation duration or other performance claims when your product evidence supports them.

3. Compare three openings for the same benefit

Keep the product, audience and core message consistent. Use a problem, a demonstration or a scenario as separate opening angles, so you can identify what changed between plans.

Read and edit the openings and storyboards before generating a selected concept. Three planned openings do not automatically export three finished commercials, and the platform does not automatically run an ad campaign.

4. Working from an existing reference ad

Use the reference-ad entry to upload a video you have permission to use. Manually describe its opening, body and call to action, then adapt those structures to your product. The current workflow does not automatically analyze or reproduce each shot.

Borrowing a structure still requires fresh copy and visual decisions. Being able to view a reference does not grant commercial rights. Review permissions for imagery, audio, people and brands before use.

5. Move from a concept toward a usable ad

Before generation, review landscape 16:9 or portrait 9:16, the output description and the credit quote. Afterwards, check the subject, orientation and action before deciding whether to revise your plan.

Complex camera sequences, captions and packaging details in a preview are not output guarantees. Complete the editing, text, audio and rights checks required for your placement. VideoAnt does not promise conversion rates or advertising returns.
